After graduating from Waseda University, Takahiro Takeda joined Nikkei Inc. in 1987. He joined Diamond in 1989, and as a reporter for Diamond Weekly he covered securities, insurance, non-bank financial institutions, automobiles, macroeconomics and markets. After the global financial crisis, he focused on analyzing the structure of loss generation in financial institutions in the U.S. and Europe. He assumed the post of deputy editor-in-chief in 2010. His major stories include “Ranking of Companies with High Risks of Bankruptcy” and “The True Stock Price of a Company.” He enjoys watching sports. He is a certified member analyst of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan and a certified international investment analyst.
