Tetsuya Inoue is a senior researcher at the Financial Market and Business Digital Research Department of Nomura Research Institute. He entered the Bank of Japan in 1985. In addition to serving as director of the Foreign Exchange Division and counselor for International Financial and Exchange Markets, he also served as secretary to Governor Toshihiko Fukui and as a dedicated staff member for the Policy Board. In 2008 he joined Nomura Research Institute, where he researches domestic and international financial markets and macroeconomic policies, and operates the Banking Panel, a group of researchers and practitioners who analyze monetary policies and financial system stabilization measures, mainly in developed countries. He has held his current position since August 2021.
