Fusako Asashima is currently the deputy editor-in-chief of Diamond Weekly and Diamond Online. She joined Diamond in 2000. As a reporter for Diamond Weekly, she has covered a wide variety of sectors, including trade companies, food services, home appliances, heavy electric machinery, automobiles, steel, machinery and heavy industry. She also began focusing on labor-issue coverage from the mid-2000s. She became the deputy editor in charge of coverage of the manufacturing industry in 2015.
