中国の経済統計の主要なものは、国家統計局のサイトにある［Statistical Data］にまとめられている。英語で表示されているので、便利だ。
まず、年次のデータを探すことにしよう。画面左の項目から［Yearly Data］を選び、調べたい項目の年次を［year］で選ぶ。［search］ボタンを押すとその年次の「中国統計年鑑（China Statistical Yearbook）」が示される（現在の最新は2008年版）。これは、日本の場合について言えば、総務省統計局のウェブで公開されている「日本統計年鑑」に対応するようなものだ。
ここには、さまざまな分野にわたる項目が示されている（ただし、この項目を見るためにはブラウザをInternet Explorerにする必要がある）。2008年版の主要な項目だけを例示的に示せば、つぎのとおりだ（これら以外にも、多くの項目がある）。
